Complex Network Sculpture

Here is a complex network sculpture I did. I used foam-core, toothpicks, wooden sticks(all painted in acrylic) to create this sculpture. I wanted to see what a network would look like in 3-D. The networks currently used in science are usually compressed into a 2-D space. Here is what I came up with. I think it is rather nifty.

  1. Your sculpture of a complex network is very interesting. Many networks have a topology such that no 3D representation is possible with straight paths between nodes, I am glad that you found a graphic way to represent one ;) I just saw your other posts and found out your affinity for arts related to complexity theory. Very good job!.
